11. Public Hearing of Ordinances
a. Ordinance No. 2018-006 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FUNDING OF THE CAPITAL ROAD MANAGEMENT PLAN. This Ordinance will fund the Road Management Plan including, but not limited to, the reconstruction, repair and mitigation of roads, drainage and storm water systems on various roads in Bedminster Township in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00.

b. Ordinance No. 2018-007 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. This Ordinance will fund the purchase of motor vehicles and heavy equipment for the Public Works Department as part of the regular vehicle replacement program at a total amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

c. Ordinance No. 2018-008 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. This Ordinance will fund the purchase of heavy equipment for the Public Works Department as part of the regular vehicle replacement program at a total amount not to exceed $270,000.00.

16. New Business
a. Interchange Improvements - I287/I-78/Rt. 202/206
NJDOT is currently working on improvements to the I-287/I-78/Rt. 202-206 Interchange. The portion of the project that impacts Exit 22A has been the topic of safety concerns from local residents. The Township Committee has reached out to NJDOT for an update on the status of the project.
17. Old Business
a. Short-Term Rentals
Following a discussion with concerned residents at the March 5th meeting, the topic of short-term rentals through providers such as Air BnB will be investigated by the Township Committee.
b. Notice of Provisional Rate Increase - NJAW
A notice of a Preliminary Rate Increase was received via Certified Mail on
May 10, 2018. Provisional rates are temporary and will remain in effect until such time as the BPU renders a final decision. The proposed rate increase is for 12.3% or approximately $5.90 per month for water and $4.12 per month for sewer for the average customer, effective June 15, 2018.
c. Engine Braking
Cm Jacobs reported that he has received noise complaints from local residents regarding engine braking on Rt. 206 near Quick Chek. This issue was investigated in 2006 by the Board of Health. Due to no enforcement, the issue was never resolved. NJDOT should be contacted for guidance.
