Senior Citizen Programs

Due to COVID-19 the Senior Van Program has been suspended. Please check back for more information when the Service will reopen

Before any new person can ride on the Bedminster Township Van a nurse from the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills will (by appointment) meet with the potential rider at their home.  On behalf of the Township a VNA nurse will obtain emergency information, complete the required paperwork, and complete a medical history.  To arrange for a home visit please contact Sarah Housman at Bedminster Township on (908) 212-7000 ext 401.

  • The van driver will NOT accept any new riders prior to the VNA interview and the completion of all forms.
  • For current van riders, a VNA nurse may call to schedule a re-evaluation from time to time. This home visit will be necessary for you to continue to use the van service.  Please update us if any of your emergency information changes.  Our driver will be given your essential information to keep on file in case of an emergency.

Once approved, to schedule your ride you will need to contact Bedminster Township directly-NOT the van driver.  Call Sarah Housman at (908) 212-7000 ext 401 to schedule your ride in advance.  Sarah Housman, will be available to assist you with any questions or problems.

The township reserves the right to cancel the van in inclement weather, for safety concerns; or if there are not enough riders on a given day.  In inclement weather the Senior Van will NOT run on days when the Bedminster Township School is closed or has a delayed opening.  This information can be found on NJ 101.5 FM radio, WOR 710 AM radio, Channel 12 News or by calling Sarah at (908) 212-7000 ext 401.
