Senior Citizen Programs

Bedminster Township offers complimentary van service for residents over 55 or disabled. To ride the senior van, residents must get pre-approval from the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Somerset Hills.

On behalf of the Township, the VNA conducts a home visitation program for all van riders. Before any new person can ride on the van, a VNA nurse will meet the person at their home to complete the required paperwork, obtain emergency information and medical history. The van driver cannot accept any new riders prior to the VNA interview and completion of all forms.

To schedule an appointment with the VNA for an in home appointment to determine rider eligibility, please call Karen Ellis of the VNA on (908) 766-0180, Ext. 139. Once you receive notification that you have been approved to ride the van, call Sarah Housman at Bedminster Town Hall to schedule van service (908) 212-7000 ext. 401Bedminster Van Service Schedule
