MECHANIC - BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, SOMERSET COUNTY
The Township of Bedminster seeks to hire a full-time Mechanic within in the Department of Public Works. The selected candidate should be thoroughly familiar with a repair garage and all aspects of routine maintenance on a wide variety of truck models. Individual must be able to effectively and efficiently perform repairs on all classes of motor vehicles and support equipment, including diesel engines and small engine repairs. Experience preferred in diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics and Tier 4 Emissions. Knowledge of Heavy Equipment, welding and fabrication required. High school diploma (or equivalent), as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving history. Preferences include two (2) years of experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance and repairs, A Class "B" Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement, and an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification.
