Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Bedminster Township Committee will be holding the June 1, 2020 meeting via Zoom. a. COVID-19 Emergency
Bedminster Township status update during this health emergency
b. Short-Term Rentals
Landlord registrations have increased due to this investigation. The Fire Prevention Dept. has seen a big increase in landlord registrations:
2020 - 24 new registrations (YTD); 2019 – 165 new registrations; 2018 – 89 new registrations; 2017 – 62 new registrations
c. Engine Braking
Excessive noise complaints from residents near Rt. 206 regarding engine braking has prompted the placement of a portable sign reminding truckers to refrain from engine braking on Rt. 206 at Old Dutch Road from time to time.
d. Pluckemin Park
Inspection of the property by Code Enforcement and Zoning revealed several violations that have been settled in court and repairs have been completed. Inspectors are monitoring complaints from the residents.
e. JCP&L Outages
JCP&L continues to meet with local representatives regarding the status of repair projects in Bedminster with priority given to the Hills Development. Representatives from impacted neighborhoods have organized and will keep in contact with JCP&L regarding the repairs.
f. New Jersey American Water Rate Increase
Bedminster Township is coordinating with other municipalities in the Somerset Hills to file as an intervener in this rate case before the BPU
