a. Ordinance No. 2018-010 AN ORDINANCE TO ADDRESS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT AND THE UNIFORM HOUSING AFFORDABILITY CONTROLS (UHAC) REGARDING COMPLIANCE WITH BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING OBLIGATIONS.
This Ordinance amends the Township’s Land Use Ordinance in compliance with the Township’s Affordable Housing obligations per requirements of the Fair Share Housing Act and Uniform Housing Affordability Controls. The public hearing for this Ordinance is scheduled for August 6, 2018 at 7:00 pm, Municipal Building, One Miller Lane, Bedminster, NJ.

a. Short-Term Rentals
Following a discussion with concerned residents at the March 5th meeting, the topic of short-term rentals through providers such as Air BnB will be investigated by the Township Committee.
b. Engine Braking
Cm Jacobs reported that he has received noise complaints from local residents regarding engine braking on Rt. 206 near Quick Chek. This issue was investigated in 2006 by the Board of Health. A meeting with NJDOT on June 15th suggested enforcement options.
c. Interchange Improvements – I-287/I-78/Rt. 202/206
NJDOT is currently working on improvements to the I-287/I-78/Rt. 202-206 Interchange. The portion of the project that impacts Exit 22A has been the topic of safety concerns from local residents. A meeting with NJDOT for a status update on the project has been requested.

a. Readington Township – Introduction of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 148 OF THE LAND USE ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF READINGTON, COUNTY OF HUNTERDON AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY PERTAINING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY FACILITIES that has been passed on first reading and set for a public hearing on August 6, 2018 in the Municipal Building, 509 Rt. 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ.
b. Washington Township – Introduction of ORDINANCE NO. RO-11-18 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND USE ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON TO ADDRESS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT AND THE UNIFORM HOUSING AFFORDABILITY CONTROLS (UHAC) REGARDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE TOWNSHIP’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING OBLIGATIONS. Please take notice that the Ordinance listed above was presented and passed at a meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Washington, held on June 18, 2018. Notice is hereby given that the said Ordinance is pending final adoption on July 16, 2018.
c. Peapack-Gladstone Borough – Public Hearing for Ordinance #1059-2018 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF CHAPTER XXIII, ARTICLE IV, TITLED “LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE” OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF PEAPACK AND GLADSTONE PERMITTING A RESIDENTIAL HOUSING COMMUNITY ON CERTAIN LANDS IN THE ORL AND RR-5 ZONING DISTRICTS” on July 24, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Municipal Building, One School Street, Peapack, NJ.
