Saving the Disappearing Monarch Butterfly

Wednesday, April 18 @ 7 pm
Bedminster Town Hall, One Miller Lane Bedminster

This program is free and open to the public

Kathleen Palmer, owner of Studio 7 Fine Art Gallery in Bernardsville, will be giving a presentation on her experience creating a registered Monarch Way Station and raising Monarch Butterflies.  Kathleen grew up in Michigan and fell in love with butterflies at the age of 8.  She went on to create a collection of insects which became a permanent display at her school. She will be giving a power point presentation, created from her photographs, which will chronicle her efforts to save the disappearing Monarch population.  The photos will show the Monarch life cycle, there predators, inexpensive ways to make cages, what is needed to create a way station and the care needed to successfully raise Monarchs in your home.
